ShareLoader^® Virtual Tape 2.0 delivers the next generation of virtual tape in a simple, cost-effective data protection solution for Windows and Linux-based environments. By using cost-effective disk storage to emulate a traditional tape library, ShareLoader optimizes performance of data management operations, providing almost immediate access to data and dramatically reducing recovery time. The intuitive management, secure seamless integration and scalability of ShareLoader are features not currently found in today's Virtual Tape Libraries and Disk-to-Disk solutions. Optional XpanTape^® tape library can also be utilized with ShareLoader to provide all the advantages of disk backup with the option of using physical tape.

Coping with Storage Resource Constraints?

As a network-based appliance, ShareLoader is easy to install and configure, integrates seamlessly into existing Ethernet infrastructure and readily interoperates with industry-leading backup applications. Because ShareLoader uses disk-based technology, it's up to ten times faster than traditional tape and can restore local data much faster than using remote backup software. The user-friendly Web interface allows storage administrators to centrally manage data protection operations. Client backups can occur simultaneously and end users have the ability restore their own data. ShareLoader keeps data protection simple, manageable and fast, allowing recovery of data in a fraction of the time of existing solutions, achieving regulatory compliance and better supporting disaster recovery operations.
